Context
FinanceBro is a fintech learning and discussion platform for new investors in India. The brief was to bring community discussion, verified educators, market news and an AI assistant into one place, so beginners learn somewhere trustworthy instead of piecing advice together from social media.
The problem
When I start learning to invest, I want one place to get trustworthy, easy-to-understand guidance, so I can make decisions without being misled by the noise on social media.
Three things kept coming up in research. Financial terms and market news feel overwhelming to beginners. The fear of losing money stops people taking the first step. And there is no structured place to discuss ideas with people who actually know what they are doing.
Goals
- Make finance approachable, explaining concepts, news and jargon in plain language so beginners never feel lost.
- Build trust by putting verified, SEBI-registered educators at the centre of every conversation.
- Bring discussions, news, communities and AI help together in one simple app.
Approach
Discover: an idea validation survey with the target group, and a competitor audit. Define: personas, task mapping and 5 Whys. Ideate: prioritisation, app structure and task flows. Design: wireframes, a style guide and high-fidelity UI. Every feature below maps back to something the research turned up.
What I designed
Social finance feed
Trending and latest, where people discuss markets and learn from SEBI-registered educators. Answers scattered, unverified advice.
News and topics
Swipeable market news cards that always show the source and how recent the story is. Answers headlines without context.
FinB, the AI assistant
Ask anything, or tap a prompt to analyse trends, summarise news or explain crypto. Answers confusing jargon.
Search and discovery
Search across posts, news, mentors and communities, with trending topics. Answers not knowing where to start.
Communities
Topic groups for news, crypto, stocks, BSE and NSE, each with its own feed. Answers having no focused place to discuss.
Outcome
The prototype won 2nd place at Executive's Pitch 2025. Structured, step-by-step learning paths are designed and queued for the next version.
Every section, in order.
20 boards from the FinanceBro deck, start to finish.

A social platform where professionals learn, share and connect through blogs, byte-sized content and discussions. I designed a clutter-free feed, credibility-first profiles and swipe-based job matching, so time spent on the app turns into professional growth rather than mindless scrolling.

Product & Brand Designer
A B2B platform for running identity and background checks in bulk, and for issuing blockchain-backed certificates for products. I redesigned the first version of the mobile app and built the brand identity from scratch, around making a batch, what it costs and how far along it is all visible at a glance.
